1. Installation & Setup

This section provides basic instructions for installing VFEdit®. You must use the VFEdit Setup program to install VFEdit. The files on the program disks are compressed; you can’t just copy them to your hard drive.

Follow these basic steps to install VFEdit. You can quit Setup at any time.

  1. Start Windows.
  2. Insert the diskette labeled VFEdit Professional Prompt Editor in drive A or drive B.
  3. Select "File Run" from the Windows 3.x Program Manager menu, or select "Start Run" from the Windows 95 task bar.
  4. Enter "a:\setup" in the Windows dialog box.
  5. Follow the Setup program instructions.

After completing the installation procedure, the VFEdit icons will appear within a new application group. After running Setup, store your original VFEdit disks in a safe place.
